Thank you for registering.

Thanks for organizing--and for registering your Walkout chapter! You’ve taken the first step to the future we want: a country that is not only free from gun violence, but is also one in which students advocate for themselves and are really represented by our government.

The most important thing you can do right now is spread the word. Here are four things you can do today to help students organize in your community and around the country.

  1. Invite people to join your chapter. You could schedule a meeting or start with a Facebook group (or any kind of social media). Tell people why you’re organizing and ask them to join you.
  2. Plan your walkout for April 20th. If you’re not yet planning a walkout at your school, click here to find walkouts in your area or register one yourself.
  3. There’s power in numbers. Post the walkout page to social media. Tell folks if you’ll be walking out on April 20th, and ask folks to find or start a walkout themselves.
  4. Help other students join our movement. Share on social media to encourage other students to organize too.

We’ve said this before--this is a marathon, not a sprint. But what will keep us going in that marathon is a promise to each other: that we will work to build student power, and to make our whole democracy truly representative of us. Together.
