ENVISION A FUTURE FREE FROM GUN VIOLENCE
A call to action to the student-led movement to end gun violence from Lane Murdock
On Friday, April 20th, tens of thousands of American students took a stand to declare enough is enough. Adults have failed us, so we’ve taking things into our own hands. But the walkouts aren’t the end, they are just beginning.
Some people are saying that this is a just a moment. A blip in history. To them, we say this is a movement. And students are the new center of gravity in the fight to end gun violence.
This Saturday, May 19th, we want you and everyone who attends your walkouts to join us as our movement takes its next steps: coming together to envision a future free from gun violence.
We're asking every National School Walkout chapter to host a meeting where you’ll discuss the impact gun violence is having in your community, and brainstorm what you want the student-led movement to tackle. We want you to play a central role in creating the strategy with us.
No chapter? No problem. Students across the country can participate and help us shape the future of this movement.
